At the end of 2009, tourists on Silver Street in Bedford witnessed the arrival of two landmark sculptures by Rick and Caby, which together constitute a new gate to the city center.
The two six-meter-high sculptures are two symmetrical side faces, with their noses pointing to their noses and towering over the heads of customers. These two sculptures, which reflect the faces of many Bedford people, are also eulogizing the cultural heritage of the town.
As its name implies, the Bedford Image reflects the history of Bedford Town, especially the history of the lace making center and the history of an ancient coinage factory on the Silver Street, which are engraved on the curved cross-section of the sculpture. These two sculptures symbolize that Bedford Town is a group of cultures from all over the world, and also symbolize friendship and mutual respect. When the colored lights are lit, the sculpture at night is another scene. Stainless steel, which is not very plastic, becomes flexible and vivid in Rick's hands. The sculpture adopts the most primitive form of steel, exudes the cold industrial temperament, and at the same time absorbs the warm breath of life. This combination of cold and warm brings infinite charm to the sculpture.
