Sculpture "Water Drops"

ArtsACT commissioned Stuart Green to design an art sculpture named "Water Drops" for the busy street in the center of Walden. The sculpture serves as a landmark during the day and a beacon at night, serving thousands of office workers and citizens living here all the time.

The jewel-like "Water Drops" stands there, with a slightly inclined angle giving a sense of gravity that is precarious. The surface of the sculpture is made of stainless steel, and is designed into a series of regular fold shapes. Each fold is painted with an appearance pattern by punching, which makes the whole sculpture show an ultimate aesthetic feeling, and the reflected halo is fascinating. The internal LED lighting device lights up the sculpture at night, giving it a sense of beauty of transparency and weightlessness, which is a different state from the day.
