Tidal sculpture

This landmark sculpture is located at the entrance of the Osborne Valley, near the wharf area of Newcastle on the Tyne River. The stainless steel and glass materials of the sculpture shine under the light, reflecting the vitality and speed of the city, and it is also the connection between the urban area and the eastern wharf. The side facing the river is made of frosted surface and polished stainless steel material with radian, forming a vertical open V-shape, which can not help but remind people of the obvious V-shape structure of Osborne Valley.

The sculpture itself is made of stainless steel and glass, symbolizing the two oldest industries in Osborne Valley. The latest built-in LDE lighting technology lights up the sculpture at night, and the letters mapped on the glass are clear at a glance.

One of the requirements of sculpture design is to change with the passage of time. This is achieved by setting different LDE lighting programs and changing the letters and patterns projected on the sculpture.
